Teemu Mastovaara – Webflow website for musician

My task is to design a portfolio website for a cellist and composer. The website should be clear and informative, reflecting the cornerstones of the artist's work. It should provide an understandable summary of the artist's career and his projects.

Beauty, energy, light, and shadow are often central themes in Mastovaara's music. I wanted to reflect these musical themes visually by designing the website's color palette and imagery based on them. Wooden and brown tones meet matte black.

I started the design process by creating an illustration for the navigation, featuring a cello made up of two different halves. This was done using Illustrator and artificial intelligence.

A clear distinction between compositional work and performing musician activities was desired for the website. Therefore, the portfolio section of the site was divided into two separate parts.

Besides aiming to comprehensively showcase the artist's career, the site also seeks to gather inquiries and collaboration requests. For this reason, the user journey is designed to guide visitors towards making contact.
